The Beginning-JUNE, 1994 December 1995*Vol. 1*Issue 2 OK, OK, Change number one for those of us who have a Gedcom program. If you make changes to your program please send me some paper with the changes on it and I will add or attach it to the newsletter. This is because many of you want to expand your own program and keep working on it without having to wait on me. I had one of those brain function losses on the original idea. Thanks for the input.

Notes say Sarah was buried in Daviess County, (formed in 1815) KY, died at John LeeÕs, father might have been John P. Brewer and mother might have been Pool(e).

ñGreat I love to find new cousins !!I don't think LEE is in my line, but I'd still like to have what ever connects to the GUMM family, if you don't mind.I'm glad that GEDCOM helped someone out I was unsure whether or not topost it??Ichecked the file and Sarah SRYGLER\SWIGLEY are the same person I have found it spelled about a half a dozen ways .I would like to have what ever youve got on either family to add to the file. Thanks a Bunch, Cousin Vicki.

ñDid not find anything that will help you. I discussed some of your Lee notes with the Librarian at Greensburg, she has kept an excellent local history room and does some research. She advised that her impression is that the LeeÕs South of Greenburg came there from Metcalfe County. Some of your notes mention Brush Creek and the Milby area. That would be consistant with the John Lee that settled in the Rolling Fork area around New Haven and New Hope and probably is the connection for my William and Matilda Lee.î From Robert

Copy of marriage of John Reaves to Catherine Perry, 9-5-1805, minister William Mathers (Ers*) from ñAî Little Book No. 1, Early Marriage Records 1793-1819. Pages are 3 3/4î X 6î long.

Copy of John Reeves death (1770), Taylor County, KY, Vital Statistics 1855. Shows age 88, died 27 Jul 1855, born North Carolina.

Well, Well, Finally tracked the birth certificate down for grandpa William J. B. Reynolds, it seems that he was born on 30 Apr 1891 and the filing date was 18 May 1891, in Cass County, Iowa. Grandpa was the fourth child born to Paul Reynolds, farmer, born in Indiana, and Mary Hiley born in Kentucky. NOTE: Paul Reynolds was probably born in Bloomington, Indiana not Illinois as orginally thought.

From: js4 Eureka!

Yes, we connect on Reeves. Actually, you and my sister June do. Her line from John and Caty (Perry) REEVES. I show John born about 1770 but question the date for Catherine Perry's birth because they were married in 1805, when she would have been only ten. I also show John dying in Taylor Co, KY. Catherine's mother is Elizabeth but I haven't been able to trace her father.

My sister's line is through Susan (Reeves) and William T. SKAGGS; their son William H SKAGGS (born abt 1836 in TN) married Chloe Adeline GADDIE 9th November 1854 in Taylor Co KY. Their daughter Sarah Jane SKAGGS (born 11 August 1855, Green Co, KY) married William F DEZARN, and they were parents of Sophronia DEZARN, born January 1876 in Taylor Co (not much movement in that family). Sophronia married Walter TADLOCK in 1894/95, probably in Indiana, across from Louisville where they lived at the turn of the century. Their son James Arthur TADLOCK, born January 11, 1900, is my sister's father.

Odd Reeves I've found include a Jane in the 1850 census (probably Taylor County, living near John and Catherine), a widow born 1776 in Virginia, and her daughter Sarah, born 1800. Jonathan (born 1827) and John (born 1830) were both living with John and Catherine in 1850. I also referenced John's will, written 1851. Apart from John REEVES' death I haven't located family deaths/burials.

Could you send me more information about Obediah and Elizabeth. If I find anything new of interest, I'll let you know. Perhaps if you have a chance you could let me know your REEVES lineage.

1860 Green County Census- William Lee age 49 born ABT 1809. This census shows Henry Lee age 12 born in KY. Also shows Harden Lewis age 18 born KY.Green County Index to Deeds 1793-, 26 Jun 1867 William Lee and Susan his wife to Melissa Mass (wife of Wm. G) Hazell-daughter of Strother Hazeu, book 26, page 708.

HAPPY HUNTING!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!
